Now he presents his \r\nfirst EP for Ninja, five tracks deep and, in the words of The Quietus, \r\ncrafting “all the best bits of current American pop culture and \r\ndistilling it along with UK bass music into a typically sceptical Brit \r\nattitude.”\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eEpic, spacey, channelling funk and soul through stumbling, glitched-out \r\nelectronics and slathers of unfeasible bass, Slugabed is a man of many \r\nstyles. “Moonbeam Rider” filters some of the crunching hip hop attack \r\nof the LA Beat scene, “Tomorrow Morning” is 2-step with extra wobble, \r\n“Nu Krak Swing,” well, the title should give you some idea about that \r\none. Funny, clever, referential, sometimes moving and never anything but\r\n completely himself, Slugabed is a substantial new presence in UK bass \r\nmusic.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOriginally from Bath but now based in London, Feldwick has had releases \r\nwith Stuff, Ramp and Planet Mu, plus remixes for the likes of Starkey, \r\nEprom and Kelpe as well as his legendary unofficial remix of Pharoah \r\nMonche’s “Simon Says.” Key supporters have included Benji B and Mary \r\nAnne Hobbs.
